No, but I imagine if they did it would be because they are "blood diamonds." These are diamonds mined by enslaved people in third world countries. I know many women that refuse diamonds because they feel it would promote the enslavement and deaths of these unfortunate souls.

Even though diamonds are mined from the sweat off somebodys back, I've never heard of them being bad luck. I'm sure there's certain diamonds that are believed to bring bad luck, as far as I know mine are all good. But if one ever came with a story of how the previous 3 owners died when wearing it I'd think twice. Then just to go against the odds, I would wear it and tempt fate.

Well, there is folklore around some of the World's most Famous Diamonds. It is thought and believed by some that the Hope Diamond is possessed by a Demon. It's history around it's former owners have suffered trauma and death and it is the only known diamond that glows red under black light.

I heard only the version of Sherry K... But any expensive thing may bring many problems, especially so movable thing with highly concentrated material value. Especially when people around such "luckies" are not taught to be slaves of others.

no i have worked in a few jewelry stores for a few years and never heard this, i have heard that if you buy someone pearls it is unlucky!!!!.
if it was unlucky you wouldn't use a diamond as a sign of love would you?
