I've had one for over a month, and think it something I really need to get checked out. I've had some in the past but normally wouldn't last over 2 days.

A regular General Practice doctor is appropriate for most bladder infections, but if you have recurrent infections you should probably see a specialist called a Urologist. This doctor will want to do an examination and possibly some tests to make sure that you do not have any anatomic abnormalities that are putting you at increased risk for these infections. Fighting off the infections is important because you do not want it to spread to kidneys and suffer kidney damage.

.Your family Doctor will be good enough. They will give you something for the infection. Make sure you take all your meds. Because they can come back . Them kind of Infections hurt so bad!!!! They will give you a antibiotic. You need to go. as soon, as you can.. I think the infection can spread to other areas. Not sure about that. But , I do know. A Regular doctor is good for your problem. I have had many of them... Good luck.

I have had those infections myself many times before and they are terrible! Go to your general practitioner, or family doctor. He can prescribe a good antibiotic to fight the infection. There are several good types of antibiotics to treat this. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice as well. Also rest, and dont eat any spicy foods or drink any alcohol. If you have had it that long, get to your doctor soon because it can lead to blood in the urine if you leave it go long enough.

A Gynocologist! Also don't let your bf have sex with you until it clears up because he can keep passing it back to you. He can also have a UTI and the only side effect he might notice is that he is going to bathroom more than usual.
