Why do men treat women this way?

I was in the grocery store today and I saw a man tell a woman she wasnt strong enough to lift that (it was a 5 lb bag of taters) and then I was walking behind them going to get some bread and a game mag for my bro, she was trying to tell him something and he just told her she wasnt meant to know and she was an idiot and that sort of thing. I dont know who they were but why do some men treat women unfairly? I treat women the same way as I treat any guy.

Some men are just jerks who need to dominate another person in order to feel good about themselves. I like to think that they are the exception to the rule and that most men aren't this way.

then you are an idiot. girls are guys are clearly different. don't believe everything you learn in school! The female respondences here have no idea what they are talking about. they are brainwashed and programed to say that. i bet none of them ever thought about what they learn.

let's start with the basics: 1. genitals are clearly different 2. physcial build and strength are different--it could be the grocery man's job to do the lifting for the customer, male or female; the grocery man could be also doing it out of respect and not condescending 3. girls aren't into video games just as guys aren't into make-up--would a girl ask you about masquera and foundations? or another women? come on, guys and girls are different. There are a lot of BS in school and with teachers too--don't believe it--that is what is meant when your teachers to question superiors: question and reflect on everything. All beings are NOT equal.

If my husband is with me he always lifts the heavier groceries. He'll take both 12-packs of pop and leave me the loaf of bread. It doesn't offend me. I appreciate it. However I would be offended if he told me I was an idiot. There may be things he doesn't tell me because it is his decision to make or he's worried about burdening me, but it's never because he thinks I'm an idiot. Girls are different and most want to be treated differently, but they also want to be treated like they're cherished, not demeaned.

Men or women that treat the opposite sex in that matter has low self esteem and feels that they must make some one feel inadequate because that's how they feel. If we love our self then we can really love and treat other like we would want to be treated. Sometimes for what ever reason we allow our selves to get treated unkindly and after awhile it stripes away from who we really are. God did not make us to be treated unfair that's man doing.

Thank you for being an actuall human being! :) I've noticed that happening to some of my friends and I think it's kinda ridiculous really. I think its perfectly fine however if like i'm struggling w/something then a man comes in to help me but yeah it's pretty messed that that dude did that.

He is wrong for treating her like that but then again, she needs to stand up for herself.
