Go to college and study electronics. Paying particular note to amplifier repairs. Pass your exams and receive your City&Guilds Certificate. Next get a service manual/circuit diagram for the make and model of your particular amplifier. Diagnose the fault (hopefully the parts will still be available, manufacturers usually only keep spares for five years after a model goes out of production). Unsolder the faulty part(s) solder the new part(s) in place. It may even be a loose wire, or as kittenslots said, a blown fuse, but sometimes fuses blow for a reason. Good luck with it.

Don't do what I did - take it apart, take some components off, soak it in washing up liquid in an attempt to remove some dirt (which is probably glue that's supposed to be there), solder some bits onto the circuit board, then put it back together to find that it does even less than before (i.e. nothing!)

Referring to Pete D's answer, a columnist in one of the British HiFi magazines (hello Pete, I'm in the U.K. too) claimed, many years ago, that the Japanese manufacturers typically support their equipment for only two years. They just don't have the storage space for longer.
