I feel that what you might be missing here is that it really isn't the Mexicans who have come to America illegally that are generating most of this "we deserve X" propaganda.

The democratic party got most of its power in the past from helping minority group of U.S. citizens. Since they are pretty much done with that work (good job!), they now have to find other "victims" to help out.

The fact that these are not U.S. citizens doesn't seem to bother them: they figure that if they can frame these people as victims, that they can them "help" them out and that will invigorate the power they are now losing from having so few actual citizens victims to help out.

So, most of what you are "smelling" here is eminating from the democratic party in the U.S., not the Mexicans, many of which are indeed grateful for being in the U.S. at all, and not the kind of people to try to bite the hand that feeds them for the most part.

These tend to be hard working, and conservative people who are really no big problem. It is the democratic party trying to cast them as left-wing victims who should be given all sorts of SPECIAL rights and who only want power from "protecting" them that is causing 95% of this problem.
