I have a windows xp home edition w/SP2 256mb ram 110 gb harddrive and I fit all the requirements to run norton ghost but im wondering if it will work on any harddrive. Is there any specific type of harddrive that I need? I only have one harddrive inside my computer. Would I need another backup drive or can it work on my computer? I just want it for backup.

Can you run Ghost with only one hard drive? Yes
Is it practical to do, no because you are putting the backup on the same drive and the same partition as the stuff you are backing up. If the partition goes bad, the backup is gone.

You would need to make a backup file and then copy it off to a CD (if it will fit) or DVD. (Have never done it with 10, but have with 9. So should be able to do it.)
