My husband and I have been searching for a home in San Diego, California, and we want to find a honest, trustworthy, competent buyer's agent to represent us in the home-buying process. Can anyone recommend a good buyer's agent in SD?

Thank you, mortgage lenders, I appreciate the recommendations. But is there anyone out there that's actually bought a home through a buyer's agent in SD and would actually recommend him/her?

Hello -
Yes I know a great agent of whom was the sellers agent on the first home I bought, and since I've used him to represent me personally.
Here's a quick bio: As the #8 Prudential Realtor nationwide, Phil Immel consistently ranks in the top 10 in the United States of out 45,000 agents. At the close of 2005, he and his bright team racked up $72 million in sales revenue for the year. Originally from Chicago, Phil moved to Southern California in 1975 to major in real estate at San Diego State University. Amazingly, by age 19 he was already managing a Coldwell Banker office composed of 45 agents.
At 28, Phil was promoted to Coldwell Banker’s National Headquarters in Newport Beach, becoming the youngest Vice President in their corporate history. He was instrumental in significantly improving key company services, including: mortgage, title, escrow and relocation offerings.
Phil and his wife, Nicole, reside in Laguna Niguel with their daughter, Torie, and sons Ryan and Blake. Phil enjoys selling real estate, and has received numerous awards for doing so, including consecutive recognition as the #1 Prudential agent in Orange County for many years.
He also was my neighbor in Bear Brand Ridge which is located in Laguna Niguel.

He also is a mentor and trainer of up and coming agents.

I can help you out. I am a Realtor, a licensed broker and an investor. It's my job to know property value. Also, I am not afraid to make low offers on properties and will work for your best interest to make sure you are able to back out of the deal should a need arise.
Contact me so I can know what you're looking for. I will then send you the full description of properties that meet your needs and then we can take a look at the ones you like.
Regards

A really good website to browse local real estate/real estate agents is: http://www.realestateforsaleincalifornia.net
It's really easy to navigate and is full of info about realtors with links to their personal websites. I'd check out some of the featured agents. I can vouch that they are some of the top in their industry and can help you find a home or direct you to someone who can. Good luck!
