This question has already been answered...a billion times...but just like how it gets asked again and again...here I am am...answering it again and again.
In order to start off the human race, Adam and Eve always had children as twins, one boy and one girl. Since the earth needed to get populated (and God said it was okay back then), the couples were cross-married. You were only considered siblings if you were born together. So Abel was to marry Cain's sister and Cain was to marry Abel's sister. The problem was that Cain's sister was the better looking one and Cain of course got greedy/jealous (or whatever you want to call it) and killed his brother Abel over it.

Adam and Eve had many sons and daughters, Cains wife had to have been one of their other daughters. Before you think ugh! Gross.....remember both Adam and Eve were created by God. Their children probably wouldn't have been as closely related as we are now to our siblings.....but God Himself told them to be fruitful and multiply, Adam lived to be 930 years old, He was 130 when he had Seth. There must have been a lot of kids.

She could have been a sister. Cain and Able had siblings. Maybe God made him a wife. It does not really matter, the point is God provided.

I can't believe some of these answers. Give me a break. Obviously this story about Adam and Eve is so simplistic that it doesn't even give a solution to the most basic question. It is genetically impossible for the entire human race to have originated from 2 people.

the easy answer is that it wasn't only Adam, Eve, and Cain; there have been unnamed brothers and sisters from whom Cain might've obtained a spouse. some different clues on the priority are that Seth, the 'replace' for Abel in Eve's eyes (Genesis 4:25) grow to be born whilst Adam (and Eve) grow to be a hundred thirty years previous (Genesis 5:3). in assessment to all their descendents, Adam and Eve have been waiting to procreate as quickly as they have been created (the have been created as adults interior the actual top). Cain grow to be maximum in all likelihood their firstborn baby (Genesis 4:a million), so he's maximum in all likelihood in basic terms a 300 and sixty 5 days or 2 youthful than his mothers and fathers. it is likewise in all likelihood that Cain killed Abel no longer long until eventually now Seth grow to be born provided that he grow to be seen as Abel's 'replace'. Abel is termed and different siblings weren't by way of fact he grow to be the homicide sufferer. we do not have any theory how previous Abel grow to be, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is in all likelihood he grow to be an grownup whilst he grow to be killed (he grow to be the right age to grant sacrifices via himself). That leaves distinctive time for Adam and Eve to offer different infants Cain ought to marry. How ought to Cain marry his sister? God's command to no longer marry siblings grow to be in basic terms given interior the Mosaic regulation, 2500 years after Adam and Eve have been created. the main in all likelihood reason for the prohibitions against marrying first cousins on the instant: the severe likelyhood of the youngsters of such unions having congenital defects. Congenital defects does not have been a concern for Cain's era provided that Adam and Eve have been created suited, and genetic degradation won't be ready to proceed very far in one era.

according to answersingenesis.com, she was his sister. adam and eve had somethign like thirty children according to the bible (yeah, look it up; I'm right:)
the argument is that back then, DNA was perfect and therefore there was no risk in birth defects. the mate was still taken for life, in accordance to god's law. sin corrupted the DNA, and around the time of Noah (mabe Moses), DNA was so f'd up and there were enough ppl around that marrying close kin became forbidden.
makes sense, kinda, but the method is flawed. they start with the answer and look for ways to support it.

Adam and Eve had other children, women just aren't mentioned in the Bible very often. This is one of those circumstances.
