Yes you can, and most TSA Officers will be able to tell what it is, they go through the checkpoints all the time.

I will not travel without mine. Your answer is yes!! Make sure you bring it with you on ur carry on luggage. I had a friend of mine put her flat iron in her suitcase and by the time she went to her destination, it did not work anymore. So always bring anything electrical on ur carry on luggage!!

I think it is, i just got home from israel, but i dont remmeber if it was in my carry on or my luggage, although i dont know why you would need it iwith you...there arent any outlets to plug it in...

Last time I checked. Your airline's website can link you to the FAA's site which lists all the banned items.

I think it's www.faa.gov - but I wouldn't swear to it.
