You're right. George W Bush is not the answer. The current administration has used the religious card to get votes and get people behind them. It worked for a while but now is failing in a big way. George Bush and his cronies are not the answer to any problems.
Now before you start the End of the World talk I think you need to take a step back and take note that the "Antichrist" is a man/woman who will seemingly solve the world's problems and get countries to rally behind him. I don't see anyone (man or Woman) in this world right now who is capable of doing that.
Now, from a different perspective, there have actually been at least two times in history that so called "Experts" believe we have already lived through the apocalypse. The most recent being World War 2/Hitler.
None of us really knows when that day will happen which is why we should all prepare for that day in advance.
We are indeed living in a time of evil, but it will not last forever.
I do think this is a war about religion and in the end the bible clearly tells you who will win. Islam is a religion of the devil. Anyone can see that the men who are running iran are all about the religion yet have no care for human rights or religious freedom. They will only be satisfied when Israel is gone. Sorry to say it, but that won't happen.
I understand being a little frightened of the world today. It was the same way in the 80's when we all thought our country was going to be in a nuclear war. But you cannot let your fear control you. Live your life and be happy that God blessed you with life. We're here to love and learn...the rest is in God's hands.
I hope this helps, we all feel this way sometimes, but in reality the worrying doesn't help.
Prayers are always a good thing and I'll say one for you tonight.

People have been comparing events for a long time. In fact, the Iraq war was predicated on an interpretation of biblical events (Bush attended some preachings). It's all the same and people will be doing the same comparisons a million years from now.

Well, first of all let me say that I don't believe in any of it, that's why I'm not discussing it. But let's pretend I do for a moment. Does not the bible say that no one can know when the end is coming? Knowing that, what's the point of speculating? You'll always be wrong, every singe time. Actually I do believe that last part but for completely different reasons.

Things will get so much worse your mind may not be able to take it, when the end gets close. One thing for sure no man, no angels, not even Jesus knows when it will come.
Mt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mt 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mt 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

wait, because satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
they wont see it rite up til the end like in noah day
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4) 3Â If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4Â among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
(Revelation 16:15-16) 15 “Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one that stays awake and keeps his outer garments, that he may not walk naked and people look upon his shamefulness.” 16 And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged´on.

You must not be reading, it is happening right before our eyes and most folks don't know it..Even if they calm the current crisis with Israel, it will not be over.. The Great Tribulation is coming and no one can stop it..
Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

People have always fought. The difference is that now we have the technology to destroy ourselves. The only thing we have to really worry about is politicians on an ego trip, not some scary work of fiction from the bible.

Since the time of Christ people have thought they were living in the end of times. We will never know when it will come, only the Father does. It will come when it comes, not before. But, you do have a good point. Keep an eye on it.

Funny, we were talking about this in Church on Sunday. (Imagine that!)
Actually, my Pastor was asked by MS-NBC to be on their show and the question was, "Do you think, what is happening in the middle east has anything to do with the Bible?" His response to us was, "You think?" The answer is yes.
We are watching prophesy come true before our eyes.
Things will get worse before the end of time, as we know it. However, there are many things coming true as speak.
Bush does believe in God and that's one of the many reasons we are allies with Israel. She (Israel) has the right to defend herself and her borders and that's another reason we are allies. God will bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse her.
I think under Bush's watch, he will stand with Israel. I just pray that our next President is as smart! (Don't get me wrong, I don't always agree with our government...BUT when it comes to Israel, I agree with Bush's policy).
