That Christians only obbey the parts of the bible that they like?
If you quote something from the bible that christians don't like obbeying they just dismiss it. They pick out the parts that they like best and dismiss the parts that they don't like.
Also they preach - Love Thy Neighbour - but when you disagree with them they attack you with personal insults.
Why are christians such hypocrits?

I have never seen another religious group use a religion as a shield that they hide behind as much as the Christian religious group. I have noticed this too. I personally believe that most of what everyone tries to translate is really supposed to be taken at face value. Someone on Answers the other day said something that just really hit home with my beliefs. He said, "Christian fundamentalists are jsut as dangerous as Islamic fundamentalists." WHich is completely true. Christianity in itself is not a bad religion. It is the followers that screw it up. Nobody really even follows a true path of Christianity anymore anyway. This is not what Jesus taught. Christianity is the result of powerful Kings changing the Bible to fit them. And also, a lot has been lost in translation. The Bible was not written in English so things were lost when they were translated.

It irritates me when people call all Christians hypocrites. I know there are some people who are hypocrites but a lot of Christians are trying hard. The Christian life has a very high standard (perfection :) ) that we try to live up to, but for obvious reasons fail often!
And it isn't fair to say that Christians only obey the parts of the Bible that we like. A lot of us are trying to obey it all, but again perfection is a high standard. That's why we need a Savior because the standard is impossible.
I'm sorry if you've been attacked with personal insults. I agree that isn't Christ-like.

You're putting all Christians into this category of yours. This is not true of all Christians. And, if you read some of the questions/statements in this forum, you will see that there are just as many "others" that "attack you", it isn't just Christians. Christians, in this forum, are constantly being told they are brainwashed or ignorant just because they believe something different and Christians are being ridiculed and judged as much as anyone else, maybe more often. So before you start believing that ALL Christians are critical and ALL Christians are hypocrits and Christians are the only ones who criticize and point fingers, read a few more of the questions and comments here. And get to know a few more Christians before you place them all into one category. There are millions so to make a general statement about ALL Christians is not accurate or conclusive in terms of their behavior.

That's Christianity -- the "something for everybody" religion. If your natural leaning is toward pacifism, there's the meek-and-mild Jesus of the Sermon on the Mount ("blessed are the peacemakers"). But if you think war is a good and justifiable thing -- especially if the enemy doesn't believe in your religion -- then there's the Avenger Jesus of the Book of Revelations (action figure coming soon to a store near you....)

Christians are more hyocrites than most non-Christians. Some may not be grown up yet. Give them time, maybe they will get there.
Jesus Christ is the only true and living God!
The God of The Holy Bible is the only true and living God. In the Old Testament times of The Holy Bible God was known as Jehovah God. According to Clarence Larkin in his book, Dispensational Truth, 1920, page 47, Published by Larkin's estate, God went by seven “Jehovah God” names:
“1. JEHOVAH-JIRESH-”The Lord will provide.” Genesis 22:13-14 That is, provide a sacrifice. 2. JEHOVAH-RAPHA-”The Lord that healeth.” Exodus 15:26. 3. JEHOVAH-NISSI-“The Lord our Banner.” Exodus 17:8-15. 4. JEHOVAH-SHALOM-”The Lord our peace.” Judges 6:23-24. 5. JEHOVAH—RA-AH-”The Lord my Shepherd.” Psalms 23. 6. JEHOVAH-TSIDKENU-”The lord our righteousness.” Jeremiah 3:6. 7. JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH-“The Lord is present.” Exodus 48:35. It is only as we know the meaning of the different titles of God that we can understand their significance. The word for Christ as “Creator” is “ELOHIM,” for Christ as “revealer and Redeemer” is JEHOVAH (translated Lord).”
In the New Testament Jehovah God is revealed to be a Trinity-God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God The Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19: “Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing then in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Today Christians worship Jehovah God in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ. (Most Jews still worship God as Jehovah God.) Jesus Christ, Jehovah God in the Old Testament, came to the Jews as their Messiah during New Testament times but most of them rejected Him. Christians know that Jesus Christ is the only true and living God. Christians know that the word “Lord” for Jesus Christ means Jehovah God.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me.”
Jesus Christ Christ is the only way to God the Father and to heaven. There is no other way to get to heaven. There is no other true and living God.

i think of it relies upon on how many human beings are asking questions on the same time as you - there are cases while the same questions stay on the 1st internet site for a on the same time as yet while it is busy at here they could in basic terms be on the 1st internet site for a jiffy...if that and maximum customers don't fret clicking onto the 2d, third internet site etc.... :-)

because we are human too. i'm sure u make mistakes, but think u are a pretty "good person". =T i'm not saying they're right or wrong, but that we are All pretty hypocritical, because our minds may know what is right, but our wants or desires don't always show it.
