I guess I would recommend about 50 miles per day so that you can actually really enjoy your ride. If you are in an incredible hurry, you should take a car. Stop and enjoy the countryside, talk to people at little podunk diners, take a nap under a tree. Are you doing this for fun and enjoyment or to be macho :)?Sure, you could blaze through the whole thing faster, but what fun would that be? Maybe you should get a more all-purpose (not real knobby, but not totally slick) set of tires so you can take some interesting side roads or fun trails. Slow down, dude. Happy riding. P.S. You should live in Utah. Not only do we have the best snow on Earth, we also have about 10 million biking trails in this state.

First thing get a road bike, then train before you try it. on how much you can ride in a day 40-100 mile depending the weather, is it flat or hilly roads, rest stops, i can ride about 60 miles in day right now working my way to 100 miles by the end of the summer and I weigh about 300lbs.

I don't know what is possessing you to do this ride...but as the others said, 3 days minimum.
And also, as others said, your bike is the wrong, wrong choice for this type of ride. Get a road bike, or a hybrid. Those fat tires, and those low gear ratios, will drive you mad before the 2nd day is by.
Even upgrading the bike won't get you under 3 days though, unless you train well for one or two years. Maybe then.

There is an awful lot of variables. 3 days does seems like a reasonable estimate. May I make a recommendation. For your style of riding, a hybrid-cross bicycle might be more appropriate. You can cover more distance a lot quicker and they're much more comfortable. They do well on dirt roads, also. I have A "Specialized" Crossroads Sport and I absolutely love it. All of my friends that have mountain bikes want mine!...A 43 yr. old male.

I would upgrade your bicycle, the gear ratios will kill you steadily and surely. Personal experience there.
3 days is fair, realistically, they do the MS 150 from Houston to Austin which is about that same distance in two days....Train hard, get in shape, make sure you have adequate support for feeding and rehydration...If you did 30 in 2.5 hours, realistically you should be able to do about 60 or more in about 5 hours "in the saddle". Unfortunately, most of this is a guess on my and anyone elses part. Your ability, recovery, etc are too variable to answer effectively...

Well, I think it will take you three days. If you were in better shape and had a better bike, you could do it in two. But three days is sixty miles a day, which you could probably do if you work your way up to it.
