I'd go for it. I have left everything behind 6 times (so far) in my life and don't regret any of those trips. And screw the bills, they will follow you all over the world.

It all depends on what you're having to give up. If it's just an appt. and you are renting, I'd say go. I hope you're not leaving behind a family. (like a wife and kids) If you're leaving behind a special someone, then you may try to talk them into going, or are looking to "meet" that special somebody on you're trip.(Good luck if you are) I myself would love that kind of trip, but I have more to sacrifice, not in my future. You're only young once, and if you don't have major responsibilities, you can have bills mailed to family and pay them longdistance. Which, if you're selling everything, appt, car, etc. you shouldn't have too many bills, except maybe credit cards, if you have any. I don't see what's keeping you here. GO AND ENJOY, BE SAFE, AND GOD SPEED TO YOU!

Heck yeah do it! I'm the same age as you and sounds like I have the same qualities. I would do it in a heart beat! I have a great job with security, my own apartment, not married and so on. If the opportunity arose for me, I would do it while I still can.

You don't want to look back on it years down the road and regret not going. Even if you didn't go the entire 2 years and went for a portion, its still an awesome experience

Well it sounds like an adventurer of a life time (i wouldn't mined tagging along). But what happens after those two years are up. Do you plan to go back to Canada, where are you going to live, will you have a income at all. What if something goes wrong wail you are traveling? Think about that before you leave. Still, I say go for it. just have a back up plan!

P.S. Tell me how it goes!!! Please!

could you live the rest of your life knowing you either passed up this oppertunity? or could you live the rest of your life knowing you were responsible and took care of your bills at home?
thats a relative decision

you don't have to give up everything you know...just go away for 6 months...and rent your apartment while you're away...ask your family to look after your apartment and collect payments from tenant
