Get her help. Talk to her parents, or yours, to get her the help she needs.

There is nothing you can do except tell her parents and beg them to get her help. If shes cutting herself over something you know to be a lie, shes probably doing it for attention. But it dosent matter right now the reason if someone is cutting themselves then they need professional treatment. You cant keep this to yourself, you have to tell her parents. She may get mad at you but, what happens if she goes to deep and bleeds to death then you would feel guilty the rest of your life.

Talk to your own parentsimmediately and ask them how you should handle it. Cutting is the symptom of deeper problems than an insult from a boy. I would not try to handle it yourself...it's a serious issue that an adult should handle. Give your friend all the support...ie: hugs and affection and time....you can meanwhile.

Go to her parents or your parents or another adult you trust ASAP. She needs help NOW!!! Either with a therapist or if she's a true danger to herself, admission to the hospital.

Good luck!! She's lucky to have a friend like you.

she does need help... it goes much deeper than a statement made by someone else... she will get worse over time if she doesnt get help.... talk to your parents, her parents if you trust them, a guidence counselor at school...somebody... she is not likely to talk to anyone about it except you... you need to try to get her to talk to someone but if she doesnt, go to your guidence counselor and ask what can you do to help her, and how can you approach her in a way to make her want to go talk to someone... dont give them her name unless you feel that it would be okay to do so...or you may lose her as a friend if shes not ready to get help yet...
