Try this: http://www.affordablecare.org/ or this: http://www.a2zmedline.com/dental.htm or call around to community health and service organizations to find out whether there are local plans available to you.
This is a really difficult thing, I know. I wish you all the best of luck. We all need to advocate for dental care available to all. Why it's separated from emergency health care, Medicaid, and Medicare is a mystery.

Is there a dental college in your area they usually have the graduate students do procedures at a fraction of the cost. I too have had severe dental issues and was low income at the time. I took out a small loan with my sister and was able to get it all done. If you don't have any family to rely on, maybe see if your Dr will call in a prescription for antibiotic and pain meds until you can get an appointment. See if friends have any left over antibiotics I know you arent suppose to d othis but desperate times call for desperate measures. If you know a nurse maybe she can bring home samples of a Z pac or something.

Call around to different dentist's and see about a payment plan. I know the pain you are going through.I just had an infected wisdom tooth pulled today. Its been that way since Thursday. We don't have dental right know either. I worked out a plan with our old dentist, heck the price was so good I just paid it off. That's why I said call around because you wont find to many good ones. Most of them only want insurance money.(they always over charge) They don't even want to talk to you if you don't have insurance. Good luck I wish I could help more.

Try going to the dental school at your local university. They often offer free or reduced price services in order to provide training for dental students.

check out social services. dont be shy about it, that is why they are there...if you have an abscessed tooth, it can become very serious...my ex was put in the ICU for a couple of days due to it...they had to watch that his tongue didnt swell and close off his throat...he was lucky it was a bottom tooth, they said if it was an upper, sometimes the infection goes to the brain...people have died from things like this, so get to the ER or wherever you have to go right away...you need to be healthy for your kids...ERs can usually get you going on the social services stuff too.

One thing you could do is call around and see if anyone is willing to set up a payment plan with you. That's what my mom had to do. Take care.

Tell the dentist, and he'll set up a payment plan. Most of them do anyway.
