Athiests spend such a great amount of energy & are so intense in their denial of the existence if God.... that they betray the fact that they are convinced of His existence...they just wished He didn't exist, because He makes them feel uncomfortable.....

Think about it......

If they really thought He didn't exist, they wouldn't sweat it....

I dont agree, your theory is based on the fact that most Athiests spend time and energy when they shouldnt be. Yet, should christians ,or any other religion for that matter, worry about this? Why do they waste so much time and energy convincing others and protecting their rights? Its all about expansion of the Athiest views and making sure that they have a fair share in eveything.

Many atheists and religious fundamentalists are rejecting the same thing: the fictitious, ego god that is depicted in many religions. This god is the projection of people's ego thought systems and, therefore, rewards, punishes, makes sin and hell real, etc. When Jesus came and spoke about Unconditional Love, the majority acted like the 'good son' in the Prodigal Son parable: they got very angry and wanted god to be what THEY thought he should be. So ... they changed the message and that's what we have today. Tell someone about Unconditional Love today and they act the SAME way: 'why should i do good if I'm going to get the same reward as the sinner?', etc. All of this hides the real god of Unconditional Love -- something our egos do NOT want.

You're absolutely right! Ding!!!!

I am an atheist. I could care less what other people believe (well, except for the muslims.....but that's because they're going to come after the freedoms of us all).

There are a lot of atheists that are religious zealots at trying to convert others to atheism. They're not really atheists at all! Being all nasty and mean and condescending and all. If they were really atheists (like me) they'd just find the practicing of religion to be a bit odd and maybe amusing.

There are real atheists like me, though. You just don't hear from us, because we don't see the point of arguing a nonexistent god. But that doesn't mean that there aren't atheists for real.

Actually, there is plenty of reason to 'sweat it'. Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.

Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”

They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.

Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.

All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."

By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

sweat what? going to hell.i have just as much fear of that as getting trampled by a unicorn stampede, which is none.I'm not an atheist because god makes me uncomfortable.I'm an atheist because i believe in reason and logic.Religion makes me uncomfortable.your religion keeps you naive, you look to the past and you need some one to tell you what to do.just because some one wrote a book to control a bunch of illiterate sheep herders doesn't make it truth.Instead of trying to figure out what jesus would think about stem cells, abortion, or gay marriage figure out how you feel about it first.give up the book and think for yourself.stop assuming i secretly believe what you believe.

You are one stupid mother f*cker.

Chrisitains spend so much time and energy preaching about god and jesus, that they must be convinced that god does not truly exist. If they were confident that god and jesus existed they would not be prostelyzing to everyone who is not christian.

If christians really knew god existed, they wouldn't sweat it.

You know what? I was going to explain to you that you how you don't have to secretly be a christian to answer questions here, just like you don't have to be secretly gay to answer question in the gay and lesbian section... but then I saw this in your details:

"38 years a Spirit filled Christian (tongue talker)"

And realized that trying to explain anything to you would be fruitless, as I'm not experienced in working with the mentally ill. I wouldn't know where to begin.

No I know god doesn't exist. All I'm doing is trying to find out why you think he does and how you can be so illogical and stupid to believe god exists. Say no to jesus.
