Media outlets and governments do not want us to know what's really going on. Therefore the general public only become reactionists to what is portrayed on tv. What you may not realize is that over 75% of this world is at "war" in some form or fashion. America gets pissed off because Iran or Korea has the "capability" of making nuclear weapons when we are the worlds leading producer of nuclear arms. Countries that have been going to war for centuries stir up a little skirmish and we ask ourselves "is this the end?" There's not a war in the Middle East, there's a war on our planet. Drug wars, land wars, religious wars, war over petroleum rights, information wars, etc. Wherever there's a conflict of interest there's a war and it will always be that way. You can pretty much guarantee that whomever has the most money and military stronghold will be ahead of this game.

I think the United States needs to put their nose where it belongs with it's own problems at home, and stay out of every conflict that comes down the road. I live here and it is a great place to live and work, but if we don't throw George Bush out on his ear, we are all going to hell in a hand basket. I support our troops, and realize sometimes we have to take action against some countries but this is bull sh-t. The thing going on in the middle east has been going on for hundreds of years, how come we now suddenly have such big interest in it? I don't buy what we are being told, any more than I believe there was ever any weapons of mass destruction. Bush is a Texas Oil Man and he stands to make huge profits the higher the oil prices goes. Go to AlterNet.com and read an article called "Keeping Iraq's oil in the ground". If this don't open your eyes, nothing will!!

I guess it depends on which war in the Middle East you are talking about. The region is racked with various conflicts

As for me, I am no war-monger. However, I do believe:

1) Israel has a right to exist and defend herself
2) There are states that sponsor terrorism (both overtly and covertly)
3) It is in the best interest of the US to disrupt such terrorist networks even if it means military action against the states that support it.

The peace movement, the Communists, the Nazis, and the Islamo-fascist sympathizers are lying their asses off about it. All Middle East realted terrorism has it's origins in the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Hezbollah, Hamas, Mehdi Army, Al-Qaida, the Muslim Student Association, the "Islamic Thinkers Society," Al Muhajiroun, and the dictatorships of Sudan, Iran and Syria should all be wiped off the face of the earth.

BTW, DEATH to the Hezbollah!

I am in favorite of Isreal and this is about to reveal who the anti-christ is who will make a false peace treaty for the Middle East and who will tell the Jews that he is the messiah that they have been waiting for which is a lie. Because Jesus Christ is the Messiah but the Jews did not believe that he was the one they were looking for. Some of the Jewish people have become belivers in Christ and are called Messanic Jews.

I don't like the way the Israelis dictate what is self defense, and what are appropriate actions. On the other side, should the Arab Nations ever win, and kick Israel out, the hole northern part of Africa would be run by more or less fanatic Muslims, a frightful thought, especially for the Europeans.

it has been going on for years. Jews against Muslims. it is sad because this war is taking the lives of those innocent civilians. and we should not take sides with anyone, for the real Jews & Muslims would never battle or pick up a weapon. only the animals that are doing the killings will burn in hel*. there is NO way this is done in God's name, as they say.

I think there's lots of blame on both sides. Israel for letting itself be dominated by the Orthodox (who by the way are just as nuts and fundamentalist as Hezbollah, they don't pay taxes and they don't serve in the military), for trying to grab more land from the occupied territories and refusing a viable Palestinian sate.
Palestinians and Muslims are guilty by refusing to recognize Israel's right to exist, spouting anti-Semitic propaganda and continuously committing terrorist acts against Israel.
My view is that both sides are unable to recognize that they don't have the monopoly in being right. In the end, maybe they are more afraid of peace. If there's peace, Israel will realize it's way more divided than it is united (those pesky Orthodox again) and Muslims will loose their scape goat and have to admit that they only have themselves to blame for their bad situation.
