Some are saved according to the Bible and some are not. Why? Does God give grace to some and not others? Yet, the Bible says there is nothing good in us that we are saved. Good words can add nothing to salvation.

God extends forgiveness to everyone if they ask. None of us are good, that means we cannot make it to heaven on our merits. Chrisit died for that reason. We all fall short. There is good in everyone, sometimes hard to see, but works do not count - faith alone does.

God sees only Perfect or Imperfect. Because we are imperfect, there is no good thing in us that is good enough to save us and allow us to enter into the presence of perfection.

Enter Jesus. Jesus is the sacrifice that covers our imperfections. That way, when those who put their faith in Jesus to cover us, God sees Jesus (Perfection) and not us (imperfection) and allows us into His presence.

Yes, it does say in the Bible that God created some for honor and some for dishonor, that those of us that He created for honor (salvation) would know His mercy and grace even more because we COULD HAVE BEEN created for dishonor (non-salvation).

Some would say that this is not the action of a loving Creator. However, can the created thing say to its Creator, why did you make me thus? No.

If you were a potter and you created ten pots, but selected only four to paint and use, and you took the other six pots and cracked them into pieces for the kiln/pottery fire, would you be wrong? No. Each serves a purpose.

Good works, or good deeds, do not save us because we are saved by GRACE -- unmerited favor, something that we cannot earn. If we could "earn" salvation through word or through deed, God's grace would not be so graceful after all.

God gives common grace to all.
God gives particular grace to a few.
He is under no obligation to save any, we all deserve damnation.
There is no one good, not one.
He saves some to the glory of His mercy.
He condemns others to the glory of His just wrath.
In all things He is glorified!

Everyone is technically saved only through the grace of Jesus Christ. The criteria here then, is not how good ar bad you are, but whether or not you have accepted Jesus Christ.

we are saved by GRACE not our works. You can not earn salvation, you receive it. Everything you have was given to you by your Father in heaven. Have you accepted his Grace today?
