well i see that people are very much aware of the problem that are going on in mid east as i see we are all educated. some might be less informed but in general we all know that its got nothing to do with the religion.

we are hiding our selves behind the bush and accept what he says. as if he has become our protector.

till the day we all don't put our foot down and tell our government enough is enough they will keep on with their stupid story of of religion. and hide the real issue of land dispute and make Israel to accept all UN resolutions. there will not be any peace in that area.

Once you have strong convictions about something, it is human nature to defend your beliefs agains real or imagined attacks.
Unfortunately, some followers of all of the major religious players (Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddism, Hindu, or even humanist) get distracted from their leaders' peacefull teachings by envy, sloth, pride, lust, glottony, wrath, and greed. 'Deadly' sins no matter what religious label you carry.
Religion, (the outward practice of a theistic -even humanism has man as a god - belief system), can set moral guidelines. But man is incapable of keeping those laws on his own. So for a religion to be successful in bringing peace, it must be able to bridge the gap (created by sin) between man and God.
Look for that bridge - and you will find peace.

It could be possible for us to live in peace, after all, according to our Scriptures, we are all children of Abraham.

What stops peaceful tolerance are the words of mankind, and the the phenomenon of creating scapegoats. For example, Jews are despised because they charge interest when lending money, Muslims because of recent terrorist acts. Christians seem to get away scot-free, even though St Paul could be said to be responsible for a hell of a lot of hang-ups.

I live in the UK, and I am a white person of Irish and English stock. My neighbour is Algerian. We respect each other and get on well.

Here is my own sermon on how we could get on better.

1. All States should recognise the right of Israel to exist.

2. Israel to return to its boundaries as mandated by the United Nations in 1948.

3. All States should declare that their citizens, irrespective of colour and creed, will be given equal treatment and equal rights to self-expression, subject to the rule of Law.

4. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Therefore, minorities should accept the ethos of the majority of the population of the State wherein they live. For example, Westerners in Saudi Arabia should accept that alcohol is forbidden, Muslims in the UK should respect that our laws give women of all races and religions equality. If a woman in the UK chooses to live her life by strict Islamic law, then that is her business, but she should not be prevented from assimilating to the UK's general way of doing things if she so wishes.

5. Accept that God is Spirit, and that there are many ways to approach Deity. The Hindu, Jew, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Shintoist, Confucian and Pagan are all religious people, they just have different interpretations of Deity Siirit and the approach thereto.

6. If you cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you want everyone to live according to the Torah, Sharia law, or the book of Mormon, go and live where these diktats hold sway.

Because some one is always starting a war over religion. It does not matter what religion you are Christian, Muslim or Jew we are all gods children, we all worship the same god, just in differnt ways. I too wish we could all get along.

Ask the Muslims. I think its in the koran that "infidels" (ie Christians, Jews, all other non-muslims) should be destroyed.

Life in the Middle East was so much simpler in the old days, when Jews were few and knew their place, wasn't it?
