Bring a mechanic with you to check it out before you buy it though...

The correct answer is, if you don't know a lot about cars, then don't buy an impound. It could be a total piece of junk. If you are considering it, then take someone with you that knows cars so they can check it out. At $300, I can guarantee you that something's wrong with the car. It could have engine or transmission problems, etc. that will cost you more money to fix than what the car's worth. Impound vehicles are a big gamble. They could have been run to death in a car chase, etc. That's why I say you should take someone with you that knows what they are doing. My gut tells me you don't want this car.

Common sense time. Think about this...if it's a nice car then why do they only want $300 for it, and since it's an impound, the owner gets first crack at bailing it out of impound...why didn't they?

Your first car should be dependable. If you like looking for bargains through the city or county, check out their former police or city vehicles instead...they are high miles but are regularly maintained by the city mechanics and have hevy duty suspensions and higher performance engines as a rule...if you're picky you could find a nice one, cheap. Not $300 cheap, but cheap.

Good Luck

in my opinion i ought to assert no to a police impound. reason in the back of it is because the automobiles that do get impounded do not have a sparkling call or sturdy song record. in case you comprehend a thanks to fix up automobiles it may well be a sturdy deal yet when not you probable will be spending a lot more effective on upkeep. in case you purchase a vehicle from impound evaluate protecting it till its lifeless because it ought to do not have any commerce fee.
