Jesus Christ! (pun intended) reading these answers just reconfirms that people can be conceited. seeing that God is omnipotent and omniscient, he would have seen that coming AND...things happen just the way He wants them to. we have free will, yes, but don't think He doesn't have his thumb on the entire world. Jesus was a man, subject to all the crap life can throw at you. (but God in spirit-if that's what you believe) but the moral is this-if God will sacrifice his son, God incarnate, to save mankind, he really must care about mankind, no? But a story with a moral isn't even the point. God died to kill death. Period. Jesus not only suffered a horrific death but also suffered and carried the burden of the sins of every man, woman and child who lived and who will live until the end of time. "So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many..." Hebrews 9:28 Lucifer was an angel only. Not God himself. He is not equal in standing and he doesn't run hell. He chose not to obey because he was a spoiled little ***** and couldn't have everything. And i'm sure he believes in God more than a lot of people. There really isn't a comparison here...why am i talking?

Jesus wasn't a creation as Lucifer was. Jesus is God the Son. He is God. You can't rebel against yourself.. Jim

There is thinking that Jesus did rebel, and Most likely according the the script there were some money traders in the temple that call him all sorts of demonic names.

theoretically, if Jesus (Lord Savior) Christ (Annointed) had rebelled against His Father, there would be no salvation for the sinful human race. (Ephesians 2:5). technically, God would not have allowed that because it was in His sovereign plan. (Ephesians 1:4). But realistically, Jesus is God and God cannot be divided against Himself. (John 10:30). it's interresting that Christianity is the only religion in which we need God because we are helpless and dying without Him.

Well We wouldn't have a savior ! We would all still be doomed & not have a chance for eternal life in heaven & our sins wouldn't be able to be washed away by the blood of Jesus through faith, mercy & grace!
I guess if that would have happened he would have been evil & corrupt just like Satan then I suppose...
Thank God Jesus Loves us & God Loves us.
God Bless

He would have gone down in history as a genius and an innovator with a lot more interesting stories rather than a martyr who doesn't understand that it means more to live for something than to die for it.
Yup, if Jesus would have rebelled we might have had a better chance at a more intelligent human race!

Lucifer was not the Son of god, he was an angle created by God. Had Jesus rebelled he would not have been the Son of God.
