All you see is the pain from the punch or the strike inflicting pain. That is called fighting. Boxing isn't throwing a punch, it is making the other guy miss. It is strategy. Don't think so? At 5' 6" I have been in more than my share of fights I am batting under .500, because of strategy. It took me a lond time to learn that I was not big or strong enough to be trying to out power bigger opponents. I was never particularly fast though either, guys my size could hit me faster and more often. I had to learn how to wear them down and position them where my strikes did maximum damage to give me the decisive advantage. Boxing taught me that. In my hopefully last three fights I didn't even get hit, except in the arms.
