3. Prevents you from making sense in a debate with an Atheist
4. Has nothing to do with if God actually exist
5. Makes people look stupid when they say they have faith in God
Advantages of having faith in God
1. it's comfortable for lazy thinkers
2. It's a good get away in a losing debate
3. It's a good thing to mention when you dont know what to say
4. A good way to trick yourself into believing anything
5. It's a good mental block for anti thinkers

I think that I've encountered your questions prior to this one. You make the most prejudiced assumptions, you didn't get smarter since then.

Wrong. If He said it, it is true. The proof of that is learned through study. The edification that someone ( not those who don't study the word- like you) recieves from these teachings reinforce the ideology that God doesn't lie. That reinforces the idea that someone can trust Him. And so, You're mistating the truth here. Faith in God prevents a person for thinking illogically about God.

Only Advantages.
Much of religion is man made, but the form of religion that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God is to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world James 1:27
True religion provides incentive for us to treat one another as brothers and sisters,children of one Father.It makes better husbands, wives, children, and people who stand up for what is right, no matter how dangerous or unpopular it may be, because of the faith that God sees and rewards. Your lists are nice...let me add to them:
Advantage--I don't have to take responsibility for my actions because God (if there is one) made me do this, that, or the other thing. Even if I do something bad I will repent and be forgiven.
Disadvantage--Now I have to take responsiblity for my actions because I haven't any out (I can't repent and ask forgiveness)

Advantages gives you strength, no worries, joy, hope, love, blessings, optimism, security, patience, I can keep going.
Disadvantages...so many non-believers to conform and not enough time.
