I agree. The community guidelines are a very useful and needed tool to keep things civilized and pleasant here but like with all rules the spirit should be more important than the letter.
The way it works now you get a violation if you have bad luck.Probably someone reported you cos he or she doesn't like your position in other matters.
Your answer although it is a joke is still a valid answer to that question.Humor is a different way to express the truth. To see that you got to be human and I suspect that that is the problem.
I more and more get the feeling the abuse reports are judged automatically and never get under a humans eye.
This is wrong and should change.

I thought it was funny. Everybody does'nt have a sense of humor. With all the madness in the world you need to laugh sometimes.
Maybe they prefer Flintstones, Meet the Flintstones
They're a modern stone age family
From the town of Bedrock
They're a page right out of history
Let's ride, with the family down the street
Through the, courtesy of Fred's two feet
When you're, with the Flintstones
You'll have a yabba dabba doo time
A dabba doo time
We'll have a gay, old time!

I'm sorry, I think this was a fun answer. We shouldn't be so serious all the time anyway. Besides, it was a lot better than some of these hateful (for no reason) answers.
You keep your sense of humor and keep answering questions.
Wishing you a wonderful day!

There is nothing about your answer that warranted a violation. And I agree with justgoodfolk that it was a valid answer using humor as its vehicle (pun intended). Yes, we do need rules and guidelines, but sometimes they are applied inappropriately.

I feel your pain. I get questions deleted all the time for making simple, moronic comments too! (36 reported violations and counting!) Don't worry about it. Just do what you do and the hell with everyone else!

Amazing. . .yet the vulgar perverted child molester-type questions and answers are still out there.
Tell "Edna" to use her skills to report those people.
