Enlightment is not what people assume. It is not to have knowledge.Nor to be the most prudent. It is to really "know".To escape all space and time to come to the true reality of yourself. To the point that you can "BE"(Let me elaborate on "BE"-The buddha was always asking questions before he was a great teacher. And he finally came to the conclusion "I AM".He found he was not the pranic body nor thought. He was not this nor that and came to the conclusion that "I AM".And he never claimed divinity for himself for the sake of samsara-the karma wheel of life)When you escape all space and time, you can also escape death. But what else would you discover? Can you discover to cure the blind with your mind? Can you cure cancer with your mind? Can you have peace on earth with the power of thought?Or is that too much power for ones self?So you stay on your path till you attain full enlightment and reach nirvana(eternal bliss). This was not the life of the buddha, but the wish he had for those whom chose to believe in his truth. His truth is not him, but his moralities to the existance of existance. It took the buddha himself 23 years to reach total enlightment(so what I am led to believe).Where you can even control all GODS.That is why the buddhists practice self discipline so much. And you ask yourself, what is real?Or is it all in the mind?Is life just a dream of THE GOD(I am a hanif-muslim)?A dream can also manifest itself into a nightmare.

Enlightenment, in Buddhist thinking, refers to the state of mind/being in which suffering is brought to an end. The person comes to understand, accept, and integrate into their overarching thought processes that (1) humans create their own suffering through the ways in which we view our lives and the world, (2) we can eliminate suffering (but not pain) by letting go of longing.

The Buddha's enlightenment included a philosophy and path for living that would help in attaining enlightenment, but he said that it was up to each individual to try it for themselves. At the core Buddhism helps followers become aware of the various ways longing effects their lives so that they can continue the path of letting go.

Buddhism takes no position on the existence of God. Through meditation, the Buddhist aims toward greater self-awareness.

Did you know your avatar is the symbol of Merkaba. A light vehicle created by you to traverse the stars in. A traveler. The pentagram is symbolic of many things, yet these many things all tie together. Sounds like you have found your own path. May enlightenment of your spirit guide you on your journey.

the term enlightenment comes from Buddhism. It is the highest level of consciousness that you can attain.

It is also used when someone has an epiphony, or finds God, of any religion. Someone can also use it to describe the learning of knowledge, which they will now practice.
