Take it very seriously. Call the police, let them know what's going on. Get a restraining order. Take some self defense classes. Put 911 on your speed dial.

You need to contact your local police and find out how to file a restraining order. Keep a record of all the dates/times of his threats, and if he shows up, call the police immediately! Some men feel that their partners are their property and the violence just keeps escalating - it depends on if he has standing in your community or has something to lose if you get his abuse on the public record. You and your family should make sure you are secure in your home - change the locks if your ex has ever had a key, make sure all doors are locked, and windows are secured. You could also talk to your neighbors and make sure that they are aware that you are involved in a bad situation - if possible show them a picture of the guy because they'll be extra eyes and ears to head him off if he shows up. Hopefully by taking these steps, he will understand that you aren't going to cave into hijm and he'll go pick on someone else. Good luck!

It all depends on your location and your state laws. Here in NY you should call the police and file a report. If he is calling you on the phone, sending threatening letters or even e-mails, you can file a charge of Aggravated Harassment. If its a repeated course of conduct it could possibly be a stalking charge.

In my jurisdiction there are 2 basic options for orders of protection. One; you file a charge and get the guy arrested and the judge can issue an order. Or two; you can go to family court (even without an arrest) and have them issue an order. Or you can do both if one isnt to your satisfaction. Remember... all an order of protection means is that it is now an automatic arrest if the person violates the conditions of the order. Its not a magic shield, if you get an OP, CALL POLICE IMMEDIATELY if this person violates it.

Tell him he's welcome to try. Tell him, if he wasn't such a chicken **** he'd have stopped talking about it and tried it already then you would have already killed his *** and ate his liver and you wouldn't be dealing with his dumbass anymore. If he actually does come over you have two choices. If your an aggressive person you can beat the hell out of him with a baseball bat or any blunt object. He went to your house to beat you up so he can't press charges. If Your not an aggressive person, call the police. When they show up and he's pounding on the door you'll have a pretty clear cut case. First they'll take him to jail, then you can press charges and make sure he stays there.

Change your nickname to slasher!! No just kidding, but you do need to alert the police or proper authorities and be on alert. I had a stalker once and he made life a living hell for my family and me. I learned something from that and that is no one is allowed to take your freedom from you, only you can allow them to take it. Stand up for yourself and your family, make a note of every threating letter, phone calls anything, keep a paper trail on this guy. If you need the authroties, then you have some proff of what's happening.

Good luck darling, because I promised myself if I ever get another stalker I'm breaking both his knees!!

Hum,
Even if it is your ex boy -friend, you must not let this pass. You have to send a clear message that you don't take this, and try not to see him, again, and send a message, that if he get to your home, you will call the Police....

Inform your family of what is going on, just in case. You may pass some time at your parent place, for a while at least....So if there is any unwanted contact, of if he get there, you won't be alone. There is no magic, good luck...

This is what you need to do first tell the police and have them to send over a police so that they can watch the house 24 hours and then just keep you a gun and the family close to you at all times. Always KEEP all windows and doors locked!

Well if i were you first of all i would get a restraining order, do that first, then i would go and get one or two hand guns so if he shows up at Ur house and attempts to cause harm to you, you can shoot his arm, leg or something. Do that second. If he persists on doing what he is now. Take him too court, sue him, jail him just do something to get back at him. He is completely wrong. Good luck honey.
