Instead of coffee and dounuts a lot of us eat popcorn and cola too.

Its a quick treat that the officer doesn't have to wait for,the coffee is a pick me up...Most donut shops are easily accessible .some are located in areas of high crime,why not being visible to wanna be criminals
I think its a fallacy any way, all the cops I know don't do it but who knows or really cares,who do you call when you get in trouble?........That link to Krispy Kreme only made me want one lol

The police like coffee and doughnuts for the same reason everyone else does, they're good! By the way, they'll stop bothering you when stop breaking the law. Only then can they get back to drinking coffee and eating doughnuts!

Well, my brother in law the motor cycle cop goes "mmm, cop food" whenever I give him donuts - but I'd never dare try that with a cop I didn't know...too easy to offend them.

lol, you could try it i guess. Some of them do and some of them don't. One of my good friends is a cop and he hates both coffee and doughnuts so I guess it just depends on who you're dealing with at the time. :)

doubt cops consume as many as the steriotype because
if they did they would be too fat to fit into the patrol cars.
