Did you lose it as in misplaced it or was it taken from you due to driving violations? If you misplaced it, your local DMV can help. If you lost it for another reason, you may just have to get an attorney and meet all the legal requirements before you get it back. Hope this helps!

go to the department of motor vehicles or whatever it's called in illinois and request a new one.

Hey, me too...
Just go to the drivers liscence place and tell them your name, etc... They'll print you out a new one for $20. I think it is $5 if you still have a peice of it and it is just broken or something.

Do you have a passport? You will need that as identification along with a birth certificate and bring it to dmv.

Just go to Motor Vehicle and tell them and they'll issue you a new one, you'll have to bring ID with you.
