Personally I believe in reincarnation but not past lives (ponder that for a moment)

Okay now to explain. I feel that souls are energy that is akin to water. All the souls make up the collective consciousness. When someone is created their parents make the body (or cup if using the water reference) and the soul is "poured" in. Instantly the "water" takes on some of the characteristics of the parents (hereditary traits). As we go through life the "water" is colored by our experiences. Until the color of the "water" is uniquely you.

When we leave this mortal realm our "water" is poured back into the collective (like a giant font of water) and the color of our lives slowly disperses amongst the rest. When a new "cup" is filled some of the color is going to be brought from the past but it is never the same amount or all of the "color" from a previous life. This accounts for a 'past experiences' or why some people feel a pull to a certain place or time or event for no know reason. But I don't think all of 'you' is every reborn as someone new. It is natures little way of recycling us.

Yes. Most people do not remember having been here before because of a "forgetter" mechanism that takes place after you leave your body and before you pick up the next one. This mechanism is almost perfect but some people have been able to remember their prior existences through various methods and without the use of drugs or hypnotism. If you have a fascination with certain eras, it could be that you have some latent memories of those eras. Good books and detailed help in this subject can be found at your local Dianetics and Scientology Center.

Yes, there is a past life and a future life, to understand this, you must first understand that you are not the material body, but an eternal spirit soul, that is temporarily covered by a material gross form consisting of molecules and atoms, protons, neutrons etc, then there is a subtle covering of mind, intelligence and ego. False ego, means to identify the material body as one's self, real ego means to identify one's self as spirit soul.

There is no question as to the validity of reincarnation, we are reincarnating within this very body, every seven years all the molecules and atoms that constitute the material form regenerate, furthermore they are constantly bonding, separating and rebonding, so the material body is never the same twice and the body you are existing in now is completely different to the one you had seven years ago, the mind is also different, depending on how it has been conditioned, but the self which is directing the mind and driving the material body around, remains the same.

The life that is currently being experienced is due to previous activities that have been performed, this is called Karma, which simply means "as you sow, so you shall reap", just like it says in the Bible, the difference is that Karma refers to past lives and future lives.

The advanced soul realises this position and under the care and support of a bona fide spiritual master, performs activities that are selfless and devotional to please God and makes his life successful by reviving the original spiritual body which is the eternal identity of the soul and returns back home, back to the spiritual world, back to Godhead.

Don't know. I do know they say birthmarks are from things like being shot or stabbed, something of that
nature, in a past life.
I had a birthmark that looked like a double-edged knife
entry wound when I was young. Later, I had a dream
I was stabbed in the back in a past life and killed. When I
looked for the birthmark I knew I saw earlier. It was gone!

No, there is no such thing as past lives. I used to believe so in a previous life, Well several of them actually. And In a couple of them I had full recollection of all my previous lives, but I have evolved enough in this one to know for sure that they do not, in fact, exist.

And that is the fact of the matter!

Why would it be so far fetched to believe our souls haven't been here before? Our dreams are usually a mix of memories and thoughts of the past. Take a look at some spirituality books and be open minded. Good luck

the assumption of reincarnation is thoroughly with out commencing place interior the Bible, which for sure tells us that we die as quickly as and then face judgment (Hebrews 9:27). The Bible never mentions human beings having a 2d probability at life or coming decrease back as distinctive human beings or animals. Jesus instructed the criminal on the go, "today you would be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:40 3), no longer "you have yet another probability to stay a life in this earth." Matthew 25:40 six in particular tells us that believers circulate directly to eternal life on a similar time as unbelievers circulate onto eternal punishment. Reincarnation has been a nicely-liked concept for hundreds of years, even though it has never been known with the aid of Christians or followers of Judaism as a results of fact it fairly is contradictory to Scripture. the only passage that some ingredient to as data for reincarnation is Matthew 17:10-12 which links John the Baptist with Elijah. although, the passage does not say that John the Baptist became into Elijah reincarnated yet that he would have fulfilled the prophecy of Elijah's coming if the persons had believed his words and thereby believed in Jesus as a results of fact the Messiah (Matthew 17:12). the persons in particular asked John the Baptist if he became into Elijah, and he mentioned, "No, i'm no longer" (John one million:21). concept in reincarnation is an historical phenomenon and is a familiar guideline interior maximum folk of Indian non secular traditions, which incorporate Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism. Many modern pagans even have self belief in reincarnation as perform a little New Age strikes, alongside with followers of spiritism. For the Christian, although, there may be little doubt: reincarnation is unbiblical and would desire to be rejected as fake.

i don't think so....
if we had past lives, why wouldn't we ALL be interested in certain eras. Not everyone has only one birth mark.
What's the point of haveing a past life anyway if you can't remember it? In that case, it's of no use to me!

That's a very good question. I don't know if birthmarks have anything to do with past lives though. The net is full of information though. Do some research.
