Maybe I should leave old blighty.......what's my chances of a council house and a nice new car in other parts of the world?
Is that too much to ask.........well maybe a maid thrown in as well
Any suggestions to possible locations?

Not really an answer to this question but the quote is from the Sun newspaper the day before the 1992 election I think... "If Kinnock wins tomorrow, will the last person to leave the country please turn off the lights?" They were supporting the Tories and had a huge anti-Labour campaing

Depending what you do for a living, you will get a damn good standard of living in Goa,India. Property's cheap and the cost of living is cheaper ! Check it out my friend,we have already bought an apartment there for our retirement but look like selling up and getting out of England before we're 50 !

IF you're that discouraged, buy your own Island and hope someone with a military doesn't come along and try to take it from you...
Belize is pretty easy to get along in and I think you can purchase a dual citzenship there.

My vote's for Bulgaria. Or Turkey - get in quick before they join the EU and the house prices skyrocket. You could be quids in!
