My kids are 14 and 11 years old and I can honestly say that I have always smoked outside away from them, even including snow storms, thunder storms, etc. I'm not happy about it, but they deserve better breathing air, therefore no one (yes including me) is allowed to smoke in my house.

I don't think it is OK. I think it is child abuse. You know, people are so up in arms about spanking a child. But, hardly anybody says a word about smoking around kids. It is wrong. I think kids should be taken away from parents that smoke. It is not right at all.

Even people who smoke outdoors, away from their children, and come back inside can still track in over 40 cancer causing toxins that can still be breathed in by others. It's best to quit totally once having children.

Either because they believe that the results of second hand smoke causing cancer/heart disease/etc. are inconclusive, or because they believe it's the parent's responsibility to keep their child away from the smoke (unless of course it's their own kids, which probably means they believe the first one.)
