When my son was a toddler, I couldn't keep diapers ON him!! LOL!

J/K

Every child does stuff @ his/her own pace. Luckily, my son was pretty easy to potty train. I hear boys are easier than girls.
I think it's unfair when so many daycares won't accept kids until they're out of diapers. I'm no expert, but I don't think it's right or healthy to push little ones so hard, just to conform to the 'norm', or to make life easier on daycare staff.

Best of Luck!!

The reason that kids stay in diapers mainly so that the parents dont have a bigger mess to clean up when they have an accident.

Infants do not have the ability to tell when they need to go to the bathroom. As they get to around 2, they start to develop those sensations. However, it is not normally for another year before they fully understand that they need to act upon those sensations.

As a side note, this is also the reason bed wetters have an issue. They typically have a mal-formed sense of these sensations.

That is why there are pull ups. A toddlers natural reaction is to slide them down, not to try to figure out how to pull the tapes loose. If the diaper is on properly it isn't supposed to slide down.

do you mean potty training or actually getting out of the diaper? My daughter gets out of them easy-she even gets out of those pull ups!

If you had gone in your pants all your life and suddenly someone told you that now you have to STOP whatever you are playing and go to the bathroom, how would you feel? We spend a year or two LETTING them go in their pants. It takes a while to break them of that habit and teach them to RECOGNIZE the urge, STOP what they're doing and GO somewhere else to do it!

Because if they're put on right, it's hard for them to remove the staples.
