There's gotta be a good and bad about something. I'm doing an essay about the disadvantages and benefits of fast food. I know it helps people into jobs, is there any other benefits?

It helps people into crappy, go nowhere jobs, and actually destroys more jobs than it creates. i guess it keeps doctors busy, with all the fixing of fat people and what not...

Not all fast food is bad for you. A grilled chicken salad, or chicken sandwich w/o the mayo like substance fast food joints put on the sandwiches. No fries and no soda. Have a juice or diet soda. If you really want a burger have it grilled NOT fried it looses more fat that way. Try eating something from Subway's sandwich shops. They have hot & cold sandwiches, and a variety of meats. You can get baked chips with the meals. Good Luck. :)

no.There is nothing wrong with the concept though. It is practical for working people, travellers or people in a hurry. But the specific ones are unhealthy. In fact, there is a greek fast food company in Greece that has survived under the pressure of macDonalds and other international firms, because of the good quality and healthy fast food (salads, etc), and now M.Donalds in Greece is introducing such foods to keep up!

Having too many v. old people could become an enormous burden in the future because we have virtually been forced to quit smoking. It's convenient. More places that serve fast food are giving you alternatives - like salads - and juice instead of soda....That's about it. It's more the 'type' fast food your talking about. Actually, pizza - considered a fast food, is really good for you.
There are so many reports that show how bad typical fast food is that it's hard to justify.

yeah, its fast!....if your looking for a compare and contrast on fast food then probably the only angle youll be able to use for advantages are the fact that it is fast food so it saves on time....generally it is less expensive, the variety that has been made available in recent years and as far as the health conciousness goes youd have to look up a calorie guide...youll find that even the salads arent very low in calories because of something added to the salad ie nuts, fried chicken strips, crispy noodles and dressings...etc

Help people into slave-jobs... not sure I can call that a benefit. People should learn how to "whistle while you work". Not get hollered at for Minimum wage.
