"And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain." (Deuteronomy 2:34)

"And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Hesbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city. But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities we took for a prey to ourselves." (Deuteronomy 3:6-7)
Such words helped give justification to mediaeval Crusaders who slaughtered men, women and children along their way to Jerusalem and stole the spoils of the cities. Even today, many Christian military men use Scripture to justify their actions. If any soldier harbors doubt about killing his fellow humans, he need only consult a military chaplain or read the Bible to calm their worries. Even George Bush (the First), with Billy Graham beside him, proclaimed the Gulf War as "moral." George Bush (the Second) continued in his father's steps by killing thousands of Iraqi civilians

Deuteronomy 2:34 The Hebrew term refers to the irrevocable giving over of things or persons to the LORD, often by totally destroying them.

The COALITION FORCES arent stealing the spoils. They arent killing EVERYONE. They are trying to weed out the barbaric scumbags who oppose the right to choose. You either despise democracy or you are just a kid who wants the world to be Eutopia. I bet you'd feel different if someone you love was murdered in cold blood by a Jihadist

If past behavior is any yardstick: If you're one of "the chosen few"
then you may indiscriminately kill other human beings who amount to no more than rubbish under your mighty feet.
On that day of judgment the hell fires are going to be filled with saints and sinners who couldnt tell the difference between right and wrong - even though God gave them a brain!

Of course it does, as in the entries you have noted. There are many others. But to try to apply the bible, with its hundreds of errors, to any modern-day issue is silly. No one likes it that innocent civilians are killed in warfare (as in Iraq, Lebanon, and almost anywhere else at some time or other), but there is no way of avoiding it.

Yes, the Bible allowed the killing of innocents, woman and child included. There is another site below the other one which will shock you.

I think that you are grossly overstating the point.

In the passages of the bible that you are referring to, God told the people to do that. He is God, he has the power to do it, he commanded them to do it, they did it, it is over.

Also, it is very brave of you to say that they were innocent. How do you know that? Did you know them?
