Reverse number search.
If this persists, comprise a detailed ledger for a complete two weeks and take it to the P.D. With a solid written account tracking calls they will put a trace on these harassing phone calls.
> Check with your local P.D. as rules may be different per city, county, etc.

you can call the number back and ask for the parent of the house hold. or you can call 5551212 and give them the telephone number and ask for the name. if that # doesnt work just call the operator. then if nothing works and they keep calling then give the number to the police.

If you have a full telephone number, you can use the reverse number look up to see where it's coming from:
http://www.reversephonedirectory.com/
If the number is unlisted, you can at least perform an area code search:
http://www22.verizon.com/areacodes/
or simply use your call back feature (or *69) to call them to ask who they are & why they are caling you.
