In her current "Confessions" tour Madonna wears a crown of thorns upon her head and sings songs while hanging on a glittery cross.

She resently held a concert in Rome, Italy, just a few miles away from the Vatican. A spokesman for the Vatican announced that she should be excommunicated for blasphemy.

Even in years passed she has mocked Catholism and/or Christianity by profaining Mary, mother of Jesus and making out with a black Jesus.

Catholic or Protestant, do you think Madonna has gone too far with her antics? Even non-Christian, do you think that she should be blantantly mocking Christianity? Your thoughts please.

Yes, Madonna has gone to far. She wants to mock the Crucifixion, let them nail her exactly like Jesus was nailed to the cross and put a real crown of thorns on her head.

Of course she is blatantly mocking the belief system she was raised in. She isn't a millionaire for nothing.. she knows the more fuss the religious leaders make about her the more people will see her out of pure curiosity. Look how well that did for the DaVinci Code.

I'm an Atheist, therefore I rather enjoy seeing 'religious' people getting all worked up over the content of her concerts. I personally don't like her as an entertainer, but she can do whatever she likes. If the 'religious' people have a problem with it then they can simply ignore her. As ridiculous as I think it is, all of these 'christian' musical groups are all over the place and it nauseates me, but they have a right to do it.

I think Madonna has gone to far back in the 80's, but then I don't like her style.

What she is doing in her concert is blasphemy and she should be excommunicated

Yes, these are disgusting displays aimed at getting "shock value" or some other strange and unususal form of attention. As talented as she is, Madonna doesn't need to thumb her nose at Christianity. I, for one, do not understand what she's trying to say or do with these displays, but as long as they continue, I'll not subject myself to them.

I couldn't really care less.

Even non-Christian here though.

When you start to protest "the Little Mermaid" for its portrayal of Triton I might join you.

Madonna is a whore, someone who will do anything to get attention and publicity.

Taking her seriously reflects poorly on you. Don't give her the time of day, for attention - of any form - is exactly what she wants.

I'm sorta catholic, and even if I wasn't, she is nothing but a washed up, dirty, ugly, old hag! She needs to retire! I would burn her on the cross if I could!
