no. as an atheist, i support a little thing called PLURALISM - accepting many different ideas. i may not agree with them, but in order to have a true democracy, that is what it's going to take. just replace "religion" with "race" and "atheist" with "white" in your question and see how you like that.

This is the United Kingdom you are beaming into, therefore I have no interest in your constitution whether it be changed or not. I much prefer the British, its ancient and largely unwritten and hellish to make any sense of,but it is interesting! I have noticed your penchant for atheistic or more accurately, anti-Christian questions, this seems to be one of the silliest from you yet! I don't understand your fascination at constantly carping on and on about Christians. Its a bit like gay bashing, where the basher is a latent gay himself. Do you follow the analogy?

That really makes no sense, since the U.S. Constitution already allows for freedom of religion and atheism is not really a religion.

Thats like asking everybody to give up their faith and beliefs.

I'll put it this way, how about they change the constitution so that nobody was allowed to publicly display the stars and stripes, and that the national anthem was banned as it might offend visitors.

You cant rationally hamper people's beliefs. Not unless you want a fight.

I'm not American, and not overly religious, but that is quite possibly the most oppresive narrow minded thing I've ever heard.

The Constitution takes no position on religion, and should not. See, for example, the last phrase of Art. VI. I see no utility in a change for religious reasons.
