we had this once and a while as kids, for supper. i think it's a recipe from the maritimes.

Cream peas on toast was one of my father's favorite foods. Your recipe may come from the Maritimes, but my father grew up eating it in Holland. I've been lucky that in Ottawa there is a store that sells a powder base for the sauce. You just add water, peas and serve.

Never heard of it but would be curious as to what it really is.... like toasted bread with the pea served on top? Doesn't sound so bad.

Yes. I have heard of it. I hate peas and I dont like my toast to get mushy, so I would NEVER serve this.
