Or the shorter ones that basically say the same thing in much fewer words? I hate trying to read a long drawn out answer. I am talking about answers that take up most of the page. Most of the time, the same thing can be said with much less words.

A lot of the longer answers are just cut and pasted. I think instead of doing this, people should just post a link to the info instead of pasting the whole thing. I also like answers that come from experience, rather than somewhere else.

I hate it when they go ON and ON and ON about something that you didn't even state in your question. For example, my last question about pros and cons to a puggle, I had someone write a LONG answer stating how I was following a fad, yada yada yada, when in actuality, I know it's just a fad, it's just that beagles are my favorite small dog & pugs are my boyfriend's favorite dog, so we were looking for a compromise.

Not too long. But sometimes the longer the answer, the better it is with tons of informative and references to look up for further information. Shorter ones are okay, if you like to speedread. Sometimes I prefer in between, when it's neither long or short, for the answers. Good luck.

Well, when someone asks "How do I train my dog?" that's a question that entire books have been written to answer. If you ask a very vague or very broad question here, expect a long answer. Especially with dogs, there really are no quick, easy answers to dog care and training.

I expect that when someone asks a question here, they want to know the correct, full answer. And sometimes with certain questions, that's going to take a lot of space to explain. If you don't want to know, don't ask.

I like long answers with as much detail and information as possible.
Example, I asked this before- "how long do dalmatians shed for?"
I'd prefer a long answer giving me info on how to slightly diminish the shedding, what causes excessive shedding, etc, than an answer like "forever." Not helpful at all.
