I recently painted my taillights black, so whne ever I stop, the out put of my bulbs dont stand out as they use to. In other words is there any way I can make my taillights brighter.

I can see the red glow at night, the problem is during the day,even though you can see the red light, its not very viewable on sunny days

The cheap option is never the better option.............

by painting your lights you caused a problem. not even higher output bulbs are going to work...... the best option is to try to remove the paint or remove the taillights and buy a set of smoked tail lights which have the painted look and dont hamper the brightness of your lights...... trust me the smoked taillights look awesome...................

If you make them brighter, you might melt the plastic. Go to the junkyard and get yourself a new set of taillights and start over, make sure that the lights are very visible if you don't want a ticket.
I've never known of anyone ever trying this, but how about putting some low shade window tint film on it (new from junkyard), to limit your cost.
Removing paint might damage the plastic and really dull it out.

Remove the black paint. If that is not possible, replace the tail light assemblies. If you want them to remain black, get a higher candlepower bulb.

That was about a dumb thing to do. Remove the paint or buy new tailight lenses.

try using sylvania silverstars light bulds

yes, replace them. it is illegal to paint rear lenses in most states.
