Vodka. Because you can mix it in anything or drink straight.

Nothing says hip flask like a good whiskey. Bourbon, specifically. Get something nice and easy to drink neat. I recommend Basil Hayden's 8 year old small batch bourbon. It's available at finer liquor retailers.

if you like fruity drinks maybe get a peach schnapps, or a blackberry brandy. You could even do Bacardi O or Parrot Bay. All these are "girly" drinks that will get you drunk, and you wont come home from camping and find hairs sprouting all over you chest.

As long as you cleaning it out well with hot water during the week, you can put the harshest of hard liqueur in your flask. Personally, I would take gold rum. Make sure you have a chaser if you have hard alcohol in your flask. ;)

wow. if you need a flask, you're probably not a stranger to Bacardi 151. I've seen people use 200 proof alcohol to clean parts, so I imaginne 151 would automatically clean itself out.
