A few cornflakes every now and then shouldn't hurt them. Other good treats for your dogs (and yourself) are:
Plain air popped popcorn
vegetables (No onions, garlic or tomato leaves, all are poisonous to dogs and cats)
Fruits (No grapes, apple seeds, or peach pits, (they contain poison for dogs and cats)
Stay away from citrus fruits, the can be hard on their stomachs too, although my dog like a bit of orange from time to time.
No milk (it upsets their stomachs, but if they accidentally take a few licks from your glass when you are not looking, like my dog does >:-( it won't kill them)
Definitely no chocolate.
My dog loves apples, strawberries, cantaloupe, tomatoes, carrots, celery and many other fruits and veggies.
The juice from a can of tuna is also good. I split the amount between my dog and my cat. If it is tuna in oil this helps keep dandruff off of your animal, if it is tuna in water, they just love the taste, I mix it with a small amount of dry food.
Another fun treat is an ice cube, they love to play with them on the linoleum!
Have fun and good luck!

Dogs will eat practically anything. Just make sure it's not a regular thing and not a high percentage of their food intake.
Keep up with the dog food as it is balanced nutrition for them (unless you cook for them).
Dogs are great; they keep the floor nice and clean.

Corn is not a good food for dogs. It won't hurt them to feed cornflakes as an occasional treat, but should not feed them this every day.

Of course.. if the dog will eat them... there is nothing wrong with a dog eating cornflakes.. My dog, however, will not eat them even if I add milk.

apparently they liked them. i dont see what the problem is. and i give my dog treats that he likes that most dogs wont eat.
for example, my pit bull loves watermelon. he will actually try to take it away from me because he loves it.
i had one dog that would walk away from a steak to get cooked cabbage. he loved it.
we didnt love the odors that came out of him when he farted tho. made sure that he stayed outside for a while after he got his treat.
dogs are like people and like different things. they all have their own personalities and likes and dislikes. i dont see what cornflakes would hurt.

It can't hurt them. Just don't make it their basic diet, because many carbohydrates can raise their blood sugar!
By the way, cats and dogs shouldn't eat onion, garlic and chocolate.

yes very safe all it is is the corn that they get in their kibble anyway. Just avoid onions, chocolate, and soda and several plants. Even onion salt or powder is out.
