Should I still like him?

let me give you the amazing part first..this guy always makes me feel special when i talk to him, he the best listeneranyone could ask for. wehn i speak to him its like i'm in a totalyy different world, he makes it seem so easy, and like nothing else matters, the world could be on fire, and when i talked to him everything would be ok. he is the most amazing guy i've ever met, he understands me and treats me perfectly. he's perfect in so many ways, he's my refuge from this world. I think i even love him.

but...he was at a party i wasnt invited to but my friend was...i found out that he had made some jokes about me that stung a little...he doesnt know that i know this, and i'm not gonna tell him...but from then on everytime he spoke 2 me so beautiuly, that kept coming up in my head...and now i cant help 2 think that thsi is all sweet talk, and that he doesnt mean any of it...i dont know what to think nemore, i want to believe that he is for real, but i'l never 4get this little incdent

-no we're not dating, and never have...just close friends ..but only a year or so

my best firend told me this stuff about what eh said at the party...if i tell anyone that i know, then she's to blame, because she wasnt supposed to spill

everyone will get mad at her for ratting on them...if they find out

and also...telling him about the jokes wont change anything because he's probably forgotten it by now..and if he hasnt he'll jsut say sorry and some thing sweet...and make me fall into his spell agian...i've gotten mad at him alot of times...and his apology always seemed to fix it...yea i know i'm pathetic

if u can't trust him, it's done. u can't do anything to get it back. what u have to do is try to build it back...and only if he wants to. u should talk to him about it. tell him that u heard what he said, and is it true? what caused him to say it? sounds like u are seeing thru his sweet talk.... and u can't live in a fantasy world forever. wouldn't u rather have someone who truly means it, not someone who says it to ur face but something totally different? if u didn't hear about this, u would've been still stuck in this fantasy dream land that feels great for *now*..but it would've changed sometime in the future, and u would be even more hurt. he has to try to rebuild that trust for you, u can't do it urself. figure out what u want from him.. if u truly care about him , give him a chance. but use your head as well as ur heart; no matter how much u love someone, if u let them treat u badly, u are hurting urself, and putting urself in the position to get used and treated badly in the future.

First thing you got to do is get his side of the story. Confront him and your source of information at the same time. That way you know the full story. I can see that it is tearing you apart. For you really like him. That is why you need THE FULL STORY. Another reason why you should confront them both at the time is that you can see their reaction and know whether or not they are speaking the truth. For your source of information might be lying to you. When you hear both sides of the story, get witnesses that will back up either story. You even go to where it all started find a possible witness. Then you talk to God about it.
The second thing you must do, after gathering all sides of the story and talking to God, is to decide whether to forgive and forget or end the relationship. I'm here whenever you need me and also God. Please let me know how it goes.

while you said you would never tell him about what you know... I think that if you want to know what is going on in his head you HAVE TO...

and also, while not trying to be rude, was the source of this information you found out reliable... because some people can be very mean like that...if they have anything to be jealous of you about.... I know from experience...

I'm sorry, that is sad. I think you should definately tell him what you heard and at least see what he has to say. There is a possiblility that maybe he never even said anything....and would you really wanna risk losing a special relationship OVER SOME GOSSIP? and if he DID say it, then drop him.

YOU NEED TO TELL HIM THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THE JOKES. THAT IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. TELL HIM THEN HE WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO EXPLAIN. IT WOULD PROBABLY BE A RELIEF FOR HIM TO GET IT OFF HIS CHEST AND FOR YOU SOME CLARITY AND RESOLVE. YOU'LL FEEL BETTER.

if he meant what he said, then forget about him. if u continue liking him with no reciprocation, ur only hurting urself.

if he was just joking, just take it as a joke.
