I have a friend that caught his wife playing XBOX Live late one night and talking dirty with a 16yo boy...she is 35yo. Is this a form a pedophilia. He wants to have her arrested but is not sure about the parameters of the law and how it is defined when an older woman seeks an underaged boy.
P.S. From what he told me this has been going on for some time now. He has also gone into his wifes emails and has seen that they write to each other in a sexual manner.

If he really is 16, the first thing you need to do is contact the boys parents. If the husband can make copies of the emails, that would be good to give to them. In most states, the parents of the victim (in this case the 16 year old) is who would have to seek prosecution, but the husband could help them by testifying.

The law doesn't really vary whether it is a 35 year old man or woman. If the law in your area makes the 16 year old underage for sex, I think it would be classified as grooming.
What your friend needs to do is go to the police and give a statement regarding his wife's activities. They can take it from there.

It is definitely inappropriate behavior. Have you talked to your wife? If you can intervene before there is anything physical you might be able to save her from legal ramifications. She needs to go through therapy regardless.
