This isn't Christian imagery at all, and is certainly not a reference to Christ. The art work is clearly in reference to Hindu imagery. Specifically it has to do with an entity called Narasimha, an incarnation of Vishnu, a major demigod within the Hindu religion.

That's pretty hardcore right there. Definately not the hippie Jesus everyone else paints. Also, it's not Chrsitians, most of the depictions are Indian. It's Hindu thing.
Still a pretty gnarly painting.
Jesus is not described as having a lions face muliple arms and serpents for hair in revelation. Moreso having white hair eyes made of fire and sword coming out of his mouth...equally gnarly

No, can't say that I care for that. I don't recall the section in Book of Revelation where Jesus digs the entrails from the Anti-Christ. Blech!

as a results of fact they're historical and are the unique church in a persistent unbroken line from Jesus and His Apostles, who actual lived for the period of the crucifixion and the martyrdom of the early Christians till Emperour Constantine ultimately legalised their church in 312 advert, they nonetheless are having the unique journey of being interior the Lord's presence with healings and so on. in simple terms as Jesus got here decrease back and stayed till Pentecosten, he continues to be ALIVE to them and that they journey Him as actual and modern and incredibly have self belief that He nonetheless is between them and does miracles of healing;while, to Bible believers, all of it starts off a while in the two the Reformation or perhaps usa interior the 1800s or every time their particular denomination started up a church based on the e book. To Bible believers, Jesus looks some time past and a lot away, and their faith possibly started at a gathering in Missouri interior the Eighteen Eighties or some thing. they only comprehend their modern Synod. yet Catholics have continuously been a similar as a results of fact the commencing up with Jesus strolling and conversing between them for the period of the Roman profession, touching them and healing them, and their families KNEW Mary and ALL her sons and descend from the brothers of Christ besides as a results of fact the early Apostles and Disciples and Martyrs interior the Coliseum and that they have never replaced. this is the unique church. as a results of fact of their emphasis on the e book, Bible believers can supply equivalent emphasis to the old Covenant as to the recent Covenant, and you get distinctive Bible Believers who're spiritually living interior the fiery old testomony rather of the living presence of the grasp.
