This isn't Christian imagery at all, and is certainly not a reference to Christ. The art work is clearly in reference to Hindu imagery. Specifically it has to do with an entity called Narasimha, an incarnation of Vishnu, a major demigod within the Hindu religion.

That's pretty hardcore right there. Definately not the hippie Jesus everyone else paints. Also, it's not Chrsitians, most of the depictions are Indian. It's Hindu thing.

Still a pretty gnarly painting.

Jesus is not described as having a lions face muliple arms and serpents for hair in revelation. Moreso having white hair eyes made of fire and sword coming out of his mouth...equally gnarly
