Maybe a nice picnic if the weather co-operates. You, yes you and not your date can pack a nice lunch and go sit at either a zoo and/or by the water. You can have a nice conversation and learn more of each other and relax having something to eat in a comfortable environment, rather than at a restaurant with so many others around and being asked by waitress every 10 minutes if everything is okay. You could take her to a nice theatre or play but you don't really get a chance to converse much, other than during intermission and on way there or afterwards. Best of luck and hope I was some help.
