They copy and paste acres of stuff from web sites to support their views yet they report ME for asking fellow atheists to set up our own website.

Why did they report you for that? Why did yahoo follow them?
They like free speech so long as they can dominate it!

Okay, I'm personally a Christian, but what your religion is doesn't effect how I feel. People have the right to do what they want. If you're an atheist, fine with me. That's your personal belief, and I can't stop you from believing that, nor will I try. When you ask a fellow atheist a question on here, I usually just chose not to answer it because I'm not one and can't answer your question. I don't know why people are reporting you. If it's because of your religion, that's wrong. Unfortunately, you have to take the good with the bad. There are always going to be people out there who will do this type of thing and try to " convert" you to what they want you to be. Just ignore them. This is a free country and freedom of speech is allowed as far as I know. Last time I looked it was. I may not support your beliefs, but I do support this question. Good Luck!

ALL christian did this to you. Not just some people? Funny I don't recall trying to stop anyone from starting a web site.. Along with being a christian I am an American. I believe strictly in the five freedoms of the first amendment to the Constitution. I don't know too many American Christians that don't believe the same.. but I am sorry that I tried to stop your web site I am such an evil man being a christian and all...Jim

Oh BTW Without looking can you even name the rights guaranteed my the First Amendment? Most people can't...

No, but I do find it odd that atheists would bother posting questions in an area labeled Religion and Spirituality.

I don't agree with reporting you for asking any question.
However I again note that I find it odd that atheists would bother posting items in an area labeled Religion and Spirituality.

Since so many atheists uses this topic/site to voice their ideas and feelings maybe Yahoo should be approached about setting up a category for just atheists. That way, those of us that actually have an interest in Religion and Spirituality questions and looking for useful interaction can resume that pursuit.

As you are no doubt aware many of your fellow atheists are down right disrepectful of our right to discuss religion of any type ...so I now turn your question around back to you, Are ALL atheists against freedom of speech?

No, all Christians are not against freedom of speech. I surely am not against freedom in this country, since it is what we stand out for all over the world.

If you want to set up a website for yourself, go ahead! It doesn't sound like a problem. You probably have important information to share that will help others to grow and prosper in their lives. Your idea for this website probably will give motivating suggestions to pursue a happy lifestyle in a positive and meaningful way.

Isn't that why you wanted to start the website? Or, is there some other reason?

Well, I looked at your questions regarding setting up a website for atheists and saw nothing worthy of a report to Yahoo. I've seen plenty of questions from atheists that use foul language when referring to Christians. You did not do that. Since you are asking your question in the Religion and Spirituality section I feel that you are searching for something. I pray that you will invite Christ into your life. He loves you so much and is just waiting for an invitation. Please don't base your views regarding Christians on your ex-wife's behavior and the behavior of a few well-meaning people who don't want to see atheism spread any further than it already has. God bless!

I must be the bane of them here on answers. I try to be nice, because actually I find much commendable in the teachings of Christ. But I can't help but comment on how unchristlike most so-called Christians are in their actions and words.

Any one who actually reads the Bible finds a Christ concerned with the poor, the ill, the needy, the elderly. A glance around at any board infested with neo-Christians reveals their hatred for those groups of people, and their adoration of power and wealth.

I've seen these people advocating wholesale slaughter in the name of their idea of Christ. If you call them on it, they damn you to an eternity in hell.

It's time to get real. People who previously kept their agnosticism to themselves, out of fear and an attempt not to be impolite need to stand up for what they believe.

And what's with the idea of an Atheist anyway. In this world there are plumbers, artists, baseball players, politicians, cops; there are no aplumbers, a-artists, abaseball players, apoliticians, acops... for all those things there is not an opposite category made for people that aren't them.

You're either a believer or you're not. Atheism isn't a belief structure. It's simply that you don't believe what they do.

and the reason they cut and paste is that they usually don't really have thoughts of their own. When they do, I listen up, communicate politely, and figure maybe there's some value to their thoughts. But when they throw bible verses at me I shut it down. There's a Bible verse supporting everything from slavery to killing your first born sons. Just because it's somewhere in that giant rambling disconnected book doesn't make it truth.

Oh geesh, i'm getting the main thumbs down once I say some thing that atheists dont seem to love. Thumbs down groupies exist on all facets! you're relatively exhibiting your lack of expertise on the belief-approximately unfastened speech. there isn't any unfastened speech on a private message board. Thumbs down additionally doesnt preclude everyone else from analyzing yet another persons answer so how is giving a thumbs down proscribing speech???????

Ok, I'm Chirstian and love that I'm allowed to say whatever I want, well except in school. But I know plenty of Christians, Agnostics, and Athiests who are against freedom of speech. I know people that the minute I mention my beliefs, I get yelled at. If I believe or like soemthing they don't I get yelled at or they tell me that what I think is wrong, so like I said there are people of all religions and non-religions are against freedom of speech.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I am a Christian, but am not against freedom of speech. I think there's room for everyone on this earth, along with all of their beliefs. I would not try to block you setting up your own website. No one is making me visit it.
