The natives don't seem to like America much so why doesn't he get in there first before they turn the rest of South America against you.
A lot easier to get the oil back than Iraq too.
I'm sure they must have some WMD stashed somewhere too.

Despite claiming to love democracy, the Bush administration was embarassingly quick to accept the results of a short-lived coup against the democratically-elected Chavez during Bush's first term. No doubt they hoped the new rulers would be more amenable, and if there are any other chances to destablize Venezuela's leader, the US will support it.

First off the oil produced in Venezuela is called sour oil. It is of such low grade the production value is next to nothing. If we invaded for oil it would cost us far more than we would make off their crappy oil.

On a personal note I would invade just for the women...
