I do know that you have to be very careful, some of these can be toxic in too high quantities. They are not water soluble so they can build up in your tissues and cause side effects.

you might want to talk to your doctor about this. Side effect from fish oil seem odd. I have never heard of this side effect from eating fish, walnuts or flax seeds and they ALL provide omega 3 oils as well. I both eat a fair amount of fish and also take Omega 3 and never have issues with bruising easily. I was told by my doctor that a lack of vitamin C can increase bruising issues.

Fish oil pills can make you smell fishy, it has happend to me. I switched to flax seed oil. No fishy smell.

I don't know of any side effects--the benefits are wonderful though
