If you mean the old Radcliffe at the bottom of the Woodstock Rd. then The Randolph near the Martyr's Memorial at the bottom of St. Giles is not far. Bit expensive though.
Have a look at www.upmystreet.com and do a search. You need to select hotels and then put in the Radcliffe post code. It really is a rather fancy 'Yellow Pages' and easy to use.

there are loads of hotels near the hospital..from the swanky ones to cheap and cheer full ones...
there is the Randolf in Beaumont street opposite the Ashmolean museum..up market one or cheaper ones as you move into Jericho or st Giles...your best bet is to the local tourist centre it is located in corn market right in the centre of oxford they will have a list of rooming houses and hotels....all are in walking distance of the hospital....NOTE...there are two Radcliffe hospitals one is called the John Radcliffe and the other is the Radcliffe...if its the JR then that is in headington....there is a list in the foyer of the hospital giving all information ....hope this helps

See page below. I've stayed at the Acorn a few times. Basic, clean etc. Not that close to the Radcliffe but I'm struggling to think where is. Hope this helps.

I recommend the Randolph. It has a real cozy bar where that famous Oxford detective used to hang out. It has a fabulous Dining Room - I had the best Lamb Shank there. I am sure the rooms must be very comfortable and it is located right opposite the Ashmolean Museum.

I would say that staying in Oxford (although not cheap) is less expensive than London and travel would be labourious eventually. Besides Oxford is a great place to be.
